Gems Family Counseling Centre, supported by Kerala State Social
Welfare Board, serves the maladjusted, disrupted and
problem-ridden families from the surrounding rural areas. It
focuses on assistance to women and children suffering from
atrocities and stressful situations (examples listed below).
Extra effort has also been made to extend counseling services
through GEMS Free Medical Camps as well as conducting social
awareness and moral education camps.
Coverage has increased even further by simultaneously giving
free medical as well as psychological assistance to the village
folk. Official contacts have also been made with police
officers, women welfare officers, school authorities,
representatives of Mahila Samajam, etc.
